Why TRUSTTICA Uses This Technology

TRUSTTICA uses identity-verification technology to help determine whether the individual completing a verification corresponds to the identity documentation submitted, and whether the verification involves a live person rather than, for example, a static photograph or replay.

Depending on the technology and applicable law, information generated during this process may constitute biometric information or a biometric identifier.

What May Be Processed

Depending upon the verification workflow:

  • facial image/selfie
  • government-ID photograph
  • ID-hold photograph
  • liveness inputs
  • facial characteristics or measurements generated for matching/liveness
  • verification result

Purpose

Such information is processed only for authorized purposes including:

  • identity verification
  • determining correspondence between submitted identity documentation and the person completing verification
  • liveness detection
  • fraud and impersonation prevention
  • protecting TRUSTTICA and its users
  • maintaining legally permitted verification/audit information

Processor and Storage

Identity/KYC and biometric processor: Verisefy, operated by iDBIMA, performs document verification, face matching, and liveness detection on TRUSTTICA's behalf.

Whether TRUSTTICA receives or stores biometric templates: No. TRUSTTICA does not generate or store reusable biometric templates (e.g. face geometry). Verisefy performs the matching and returns a match decision and confidence score, which TRUSTTICA stores as the verification outcome.

Retention: see the Biometric Retention & Destruction Policy for exact retention periods by data type.

No Sale

TRUSTTICA will not sell, lease, trade or profit from a person's biometric identifier or biometric information itself except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

Disclosure

Biometric-related information will not be disclosed except as authorized by the individual, necessary to complete the requested verification through authorized processors, required by law/legal process, or otherwise permitted under applicable law.

Manage My Consent

In the TRUSTTICA app, this is available at Settings → Privacy & Security → Biometric Information. Below is a working version of that same panel for this browser, so you can view your current consent decision and withdraw it without signing in.

Loading your consent status…

Withdrawing Consent

Withdrawing consent prevents future biometric-dependent verification unless you subsequently provide new, valid consent. Withdrawal does not necessarily require deletion of information TRUSTTICA is legally required or otherwise lawfully permitted to retain — see the Biometric Retention & Destruction Policy. To request deletion of retained information as well, use Account Deletion.

Policy Versioning

Every biometric consent decision references a specific version of this policy, for example:

biometric_policy_version: 1.0

consent_status: GRANTED

consent_timestamp: [UTC timestamp]

consent_method: explicit_checkbox

notice_version: 1.0

If TRUSTTICA materially changes the purpose for biometric processing, it evaluates whether new consent is required rather than silently applying a prior consent decision to the changed purpose.

A Note on Marketing Claims

TRUSTTICA does not make unsupported claims about the accuracy or effectiveness of its biometric or liveness technology. Regulators have specifically warned against unexpected biometric collection and unsubstantiated accuracy claims, which is why this disclosure is presented prominently rather than buried inside other terms.
